Issue #758: Drop Out

Objects of my desire

Summer humidity and relentless aircon plays havoc with ourskin. At first we thought we were just still in our vivacious teenage phase, but years later our every last pore is clogged with the detritus of the Hong Kong air. Well, maybe not for much longer. The lovely ladies at Japanese skincare brand MTM sent over a free sample of their newest products, a makeup removing oil and cream massage cleanser, which they allegedly custom tailor to suit your skin type. Sure, it was a little ridiculous watching them mixing jojoba oil into cleanser by using a centrifuge that looks better suited to separating plasma from blood cells or something, but with our skin feeling smoother than it has in years, who's complaining?

But beauty don't come cheap of course, with the oil cleanser and massage cleanser weighing in at $500 and $750 respectively. But heck, we're  ournalists. We ain't paying for it.
