Agnès b. le pain grille
Below Agnès b.’s travel gear shop on Leighton Road in Causeway Bay is Agnès b. le pain grille, a restaurant with décor resembling an elegant-yet-laid-back French bistro. Its French menu features specialties such as escargot, onion soup, mussels simmered in white wine and grilled duck magret. Le pain grille’s lunch includes a starter or soup, entrée, and coffee or tea for $185. And those who are into a relaxing afternoon tea could go for their tea set with a piece of cake and coffee for around $85. So pull up a wooden chair, order a glass of wine and take in the stylish surroundings before heading upstairs for more spending. 111 Leighton Rd., Causeway Bay, 2577-2718.

Specialties include crab bisque with sweet corn jelly and foie gras with morel sauce and a port wine reduction. Entrées are priced from $280-$320 and the set lunch costs around $200.
