The buzz: Spacious and perfect for private functions, this bar showcases fine wines and food (It shares a kitchen with the French restaurant LaVilla 38 above it).

The décor: The main attraction is the glass bauble chandelier that hovers over the bar like a cluster of floating bubbles. LEDs and spotlights can change the mood of the lounge in the blink of an eye, while TVs embedded in the bartop screen fashion shows. Look up and you’ll see instruments mounted on the walls such as violins, saxophones, guitars and French horns, which can all be played, according to the manager.

The drinks: Wine aficionados will enjoy the Enomatic wine dispensing machine, which offers rare reds and whites by the glass. Feeling generous? A bottle of 1986 Chateau Margaux will set you back $7,880.

The music: Dance music, with a DJ spinning on the center stage at weekends.

The crowd: Swashbuckling businessmen that like a drink, and their lady friends.

Why you’ll be back: Perched on the 37th floor, you’re treated to sweeping views of the harbor.
